Okay, I’m so scared, because I’ve been writing a horror story on Mibba.com, a creative writing site, called Mirrors. After I started writing it, I heard that there was a horror movie called Mirrors. Now I’m afraid that everyone will think that I copied the movie and I’m terrified that I’ll get into legal trouble. I don’t know what the plot of the movie Mirrors is about, but can anyone tell me if it’s similar to the plot of my story? If it is, what should I do? I really don’t want to delete it because I have a lot of fun writing it and I have a lot of readers who really like it?

Here’s the plot of my story Mirrors:
18 year old college-to-be Audrey Haswell has just moved out of her house and has a place of her own, due to family problems. One day, Audrey sees an old antique mirror with a for sale sign next to it. It is so beautiful, she decides to buy it. The seller, and ancient looking woman, gives Audrey the mirror for free, depsite the fact that it looks expensive, along with something creepy that sounds a bit like a warning. Everything is normal until a tradgedy turns Audrey’s world upside down, and the rage she feels unleashes an ancient evil, The Maruline, evil spirits who were inprisoned in her mirror hundreds of years ago. The Maruline appear as the person looking into the mirror, only as time goes on and they grow more powerful (they feed off of fear and anger) and begin to look like a sick, twisted version of the person. At first the worst the Maruline can do is drive you into insanity, but as they get more powerful they can travel to other mirrors, reflect themselves in more surfaces, and harm you, such as if they stab themselves, the place where they stabbed themselves will hurt on the person looking into the mirror. Desparte to put at end to the Maruline, Audrey seeks a way to stop them. However, she soon finds out the only way to destory them once and for all is extremley risky and may cost her her own life and still may not even work.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that the only way the Maruline can get out of the mirror if someone smashes it.
